  4. Amy - you almost made me cry!! What you wrote is so sweet! As for your Dad, here I go: Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday Dear Ricky, Happy Birthday to you!!!!" And we all know how old you are so we don't have to ask that question, but yes "You look like a monkey and you smell like one too!" (I'm assuming you are taking fewer showers while camping?) HAHAHAHA! Wish we were there to celebrate with you! By the way Amy, you tricked me with the picture, as at first I thought you were in some fancy restaurant and then I realized that's at your house - the clue was your Dad looks too young in that picture for it to be today! HAHA again! Love, Auntie Pam <3

  5. Happy 50th Birthday Rick-Mom and I are here at the beach house drinking coffee and she is sharing stories about the night you were born. Fun fact:you were born on a Sunday, so we are wondering if that is how the calender works. Does it repeat the year you are born when you turn 50.Where is John Slattery when you need him?

Have a wonderful day, continue having a great trip, and we can have cake when you get back. Just because you are across the country doesn't mean you can get out of a bad family rendition of Happy Birthday! Love, Debbie

  7. Hi Amy, I just realized there is a second, more prominent clue to the fact that the picture of your Dad is not from a restaurant last night, and that is the footnote you wrote "past birthday wishes"! OOPS! Love, Auntie Pam <3

  8. Hi Rick, I did not want to send this birthday card too early. I know what the other well-wishers don't. You will not be 50 until 11:30 P.M. Enjoy your last 10 hours of being 49. Time flies and before you know it you will be 55. UGH. Best Wishes for a wonderful year. Although I don't think there is much that can top this vacation you are on. Happy 50th Birthday. Love, Mom

  12. Rick,

Happy Birthday from the only one in the family still in their forties! I hope your Birthday has been filled with some spectacular views! In honor of your birthday we sat in the back yard roasting marshmallows around a small camp fire. I hope you get to use one of the candles on your marble cake to light a roaring fire to start your fifties with! According to Mom’s post you only have fifteen minutes until you are fifty I know you tried to get a few extra hours in by heading west and in Amy’s words time traveling. Enjoy the rest of the trip and your last fifteen minutes on this side of the forties!

Wishing you the Best on the rest of the trip,
    Love,

    Chris

  13. Good Morning Amy, No new pictures, but today you were saved by all the funny birthday posts for your Dad - I enjoyed reading those! Even Grandma got in on the act! We really shouldn't pick on the elderly, but sometimes we just have to! I hope you have a great day today so I can have something new to look at tomorrow. Love, Auntie Pam <3

  14. Good Evening Miss A. (almost said your last name!). You do realize that Karen has new pictures and videos up don't you? Were you reading a book on your nook instead of giving us a look? I hope I don't have to wake up to your Dad's face again tomorrow - all that beauty in Arches National Park, and I'm still looking at my crazy brother's head. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the morning! Love, Auntie Pam <3
