Hello from the road, my dear readers! This post boasts a new achievement - mobile blogging! "But Amy," you say, "the whole thing is mobile blogging as you're on the road." Nope this is really mobile blogging, I'm composing this on my phone, with its tiny keyboard as I can only get enough wifi from the mobile hotspot to run the blogger app, and not my computer. So forgive me if auto-correct is cruel or I have typos!
After a sad goodbye to Mom, who had to stay home and work this week, we got an early start leaving the house at 8:24. We have several long days of driving ahead of us to meet mom's plane in Salt Lake Friday night.
I however, had a decent breakfast of cereal from the road, followed by plenty of time to work on my summer AP bio work!
Like our last trip, we are heading out on I-90 until we reach Cleveland, where it is joined by I-80 until Chicago where 80 goes south and 90 goes north. We will stay on 80 this time! I hold an optimistic opinion on taking this route as we go through more states quicker and feel like we are making more progress. It's true, by the time we stopped today, I had been in a total of 5 states! Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, and finally Ohio.
However, in New York we must have "taken a wrong turn" as we ended up in Amsterdam, Poland, Verona and Rome.
The people naming places in New York must not have been creative...
Sightseeing in Verona
And Rome
Oops, sorry wrong trip!
Further proof of New York's lack of creativity in names
Also today, Karen "borrowed" my phone and took 39 selfies... While I won't trouble you with all of them, here's one.
And later, Timber tried to "borrow" my sandwich.
But most of the day, she had the right, smart idea.
We'll keep plugging on,
Buonanotte!
Amy
